Last week my guy and I decided to have a semi adventurous date night. We headed over to Brooklyn Bridge Park since neither of us have been before; we had no idea we were in for a total pinch me moment!
(Pictures above) Imagine sail boats, families and friends taking in the views and enjoying the sun, a clear blue sky, the sunset reflecting off the skyline just right… cheesy enough for you yet? That’s okay, I know you love it too!
To continue on that note: In the midst of the everyday hustle and bustle you forget how much beauty the city has to offer, on the outside at least? Brooklyn Bridge Park is officially a must-see tourist destination, especially if you don’t frequent big cities.
Don’t think you’re coming just for the views though. The food, pizza in particular duh, is equally amazing! The added bonus? Reliving Sex in the City moments as you pass by all the typical, but still dreamy, NYC homes where stoop life thrives. Is it just me or, #cribgoals ?
To top off a perfect chill summer evening, we were able to snag a seat on the roof top of Fornino’s located just left of Pier 5. I’m not sure if anything else could’ve made my night better: throw back R&B jams by J.T. (Justin). Arguably the most delicious pizza I’ve ever had, I say that every time ;), and that incredible skyline as my view for the evening.
I love how Fornino’s had such a chill vibe and was slightly romantic, yet not at all stuffy. It was relaxing and really called for a live in the moment, moment.
The only outfit pics I managed to grab was of my new Zara purse (summer 2014) and a little ripped denim, my jean jacket I can’t live without. Better then nothing!
All in all it was an amazing mid week treat! If you ever find yourself on the east coast and you’re totally over Time Square, cross the bridge and check out Fornino’s, did I mention they had a the most delicious white sangria? Sold!
Are there any places you’d suggest I check out next? Leave it in a comment!
